Hello,

The knock sensors located on the left side of the engine. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

This was my brothers car and has been sitting since he passed away in April. Tried to move it and it starts fine, but driving will throw a knock sensor code then run terrible, and now it has the p1300 as well. Changed plugs, cap and rotor. Checked wiring to knock sensor and it seemed good. Added half a tank of new gas as well. It throws the knock sensor code about half the time I try to drive it.

1300 code is igniter circuit not knock sensor. See pictures on how to diagnose.

Check wiring going to knock sensor and make sure it is not run by plug wires as that will interfere with it. Then check knock sensor check for grounded wiring as well and if knock sensor is loose if you decide to replace knock sensor make sure to not over tighten or it will mess it up.

I can guarantee that mice got in and chewed the wires on the knock sensors. Or they chewed something under there. Check and u will see mice droppings. Maybe in behind glove box or under hood of car
