1996 subaru legacy wagon 2.2 AWD leaking tranny fluid out of bell housing. Transmission lines not leaking. Assume it's coming off of the shaft on the torque converter? What seals could be leaking? & can the tranny be pulled without pulling the front differential & torque converter?

If automatic transmission fluid is leaking out of the bell housing then it is usually the input shaft seal on the transmission where the torque converter fits into the transmission. Every Subaru transmission I've pulled has always been from under the vehicle and as a complete unit. That means the torque converter, bell housing and front differential (which is part of the transmission not separate). It needs to removed as a whole unit to service that seal.
