1996 Saturn SW2 won't stay running

Start the car. It runs rough, then dies. To re-start, I have to hold the accelerator to the floor for a few seconds, before it starts.( I have never had to touch the gas to start my car before). Also rev it up & its like its clogged up. Has been happening every time I start it. The check engine light is not on either. Could it be the co2 censor?

Check basics first... check for vacuum leaks, bad IAC, clogged catalytic converter... Also, let me know if you are seeing any black smoke from the exhaust when it is running.
