I got problem with gear shifting

Hi.I have a 96 elantra 1.8 gls. 2nd and 3rd gear grinds and its not shift easy. Please tell me what is the problem and solution thanks. I saw mechanic he said the problem with sycnorize gear. Please I need to know how much it can cost. And my front engine mounting is finish can it effect engine?

To repair the sync the transmission has to come out and be completely dissasembled so the price of overhaul is the cost. Eng mount broken yes this will let eng move or even fall causing major damage

Thanks a lott. Michenic is asking too much and I cant afford. So I have to work at home I got all the tools and I am also textile michenic as last 10 years. Can I do it at home any advise please

Well yes if you have the mechanical ability. And the tools you will need I will give you a piece of advice that will save you a lot of time and trouble. Remove the clutch arm from the transmission if you don't this one will not come out
