Switch a v6 to v8 truck want start the motor is good I heard it before they pull it and put it in my truck they say I need a computor the one in thruck dont match v8 motor

Thats correct. Is the wiring harness the same? That may have to be changed as well

I agree. The V-6 computer is programmed to run 6 injectors and 6 spark plugs, etc. It cannot run the V-8 because of the firing order and such.

You'll have to locate a truck like yours that came with a V-8 and get that computer and ALL of the associated wiring harness.
