I have a code p1443 and the engine is hesitating

have a 1996 mustang gt 4.6 liter sohc check engine light putting out p1443 code car hesitates off acceleration and has a whistle sound coming from the engine and when my cars only in drive it shakes bad. When I take off the car studders really bad until it shifts in about 3rd gear i just replaces the spark plugs kinda made it better I replaces only one coil cause it went bad when I'm at a dead stop in drive the car shakes bad but goes away when I accelerate? thats it so far

that's just an emmisions code. try plug wires next, sounds like you're losing a cylinder.

that code could be the purge canister line loose or cracked that is a line that runs a return to the fuel tank. the shaking couild be lack of fuel. there is a place to start. good luck

i had replace the purge canister and for acouple days the hesitation stopped. but now its back should i replace the line that connects to the canister its kinda cracked up. and im also hearing a whistle under the hood
