1996 ford contour se 2.5 liter 5 speed. I drove my car approximately 10 miles and it started to overheat, I heard a loud tapping noise and then seen smoke. I smell a strong gasoline smell. I checked the oil and it is fine I also am losing coolant. I have previously replaced radiator hoses, thermostat, sparkplugs and wires, starter, and battery.

Where are you seeing the smoke? Some of what you described suggests a leakikng head gasket. Typically that will cause white smoke from the tail pipe, but if it's leaking externally, you might see steam coming from under the hood.

A cooling system pressure test and a combustion gas test at the radiator are two tests that might confirm a head gasket or other cooling system problem.
