While driving transmission rattles in between 1st and 2nd gear change, if I let off the pedal and press again the rattle goes away and shifts into gear. I've checked transmission fluid and it is good. Also while highway driving if I try to increase speed significantly the overdriver doesn't seem to kick in to well and I have to really get on the gas pedal, the pick-up is relatively weak. Please help thanks in advance.

have a trans guy look at this it may be something broken in trans or a driveshaft problem with the noise. the overdrive may be a torque converter problem.
