1996 Ford Aerostar Fuel pump

im trying to figure where and how i replace a fuel pump in this van. my buddy asked me to change it and i saw online that the pump is under the hood on the left and i always thought it was in the tank. just looking for some help in what im suppose to do for him

The fuel pump is located inside of the fuel tank. The fuel tank needs to be removed in order to replace the fuel pump.
