At first when Accelerated It went through the gears. But when it was shifting from 3 to overdrive it felt like neutral. I eased up on the gas and it went into overdrive strong. ( Firm ) checked fluid, it was full and didn't smell burnt. Drove for about 20 minutes ( local and highway ). Shut the truck off for about 3minutes, then started it up, put it in reverse and nothing happened, the truck didn't move. Put the truck in drive and you felt it trying to move. Shut the truck off. Put it in neutral and started it and put it in reverse immediately And it went in reverse then shifted it in drive. It went about 200 yards and the truck started bucking.( Transmission not slipping but engine bucking ) I down shifted to 2 gear then it felt like it went into neutral.I pulled over shut the truck off. When I started it up I pressed the gas pedal and held it about midway, but the engine reved up And down between 1500rpm and 3000rpms. Then I shut it down. Then I started it and immediately shifted to drive, it went through the gears firmly, then it started loosing power, the truck slowed down. Impressed the gas pedal harder and I Hurd the piston rings clattering like the filming was off.I down shifted and it felt like nuteral again.I pulled over and shut gown the truck. Started it up and put it in drive and went through all 4 gears ( strongly no slipping ) drove for about 2 miles, 45 -60 mph. Then slowed down for my driveway, I pulled in stopped at the end... Just to test I put it in reverse and it felt like natural again. And that's it, that's my story ! I believe its a electrical problem.

It may be scanning would show that up so have a trans guy scan it as it may be the torque converter clutch not releasing or an electrical problem. But I think it may be a little more as you aren't having any gears when you stop. Trans guy can give a better opinion

Thanks for your answer. I just started the truck and I herd a rotating scraping sound by the front of tranny. When I put it in gear the noise stopped ! No slipping in reverse or drive. I think it's the torque converter !

It's probably that or maybe loose converter bolts so check that as well.
