I have a 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo (153,000 miles). The car originally belonged to my mom, who had it serviced regularly by her local mechanic. I live in another state and recently had it serviced for a cost of over $1,000.00. Before I take it in and pay tons of money again, I'm hoping you can help. I've noticed a leak coming from near the gas tank when I put gas in. It doesn't appear to leak at any other time, I've constantly checked, only when I gas up. Any ideas.
Thanks a bunch.

If its only when you fill up possibly a issue with the filler neck or the fuel pump module seal. Without seeing where the fuel is coming from its hard to say.

Its all going to depend on what they find leaking parts etc if its the seal around fuel pump module you will more labor less for parts. If its the fuel filler neck more for parts less labor. Just depends on whats leaking. Could be the fuel tank itself again without seeing where its leaking cant really tell. Keep me posted what they find leaking.
