Possible causes for overheating, thermostat, faulty fan, low coolant, water pump, head gasket, or could be a faulty temp sensor, the list can go on, need a little more detail, how long has it been happening, any other problems or recent repairs, have you checked anything? The car has had a new haed gasket, new head bolts new thermostat new temp sensor, new fan relay, the fuse is good, the water pump is good, new raditor cap, and the fan works if you plug it stright to the battery, and the raditor has been took of and it has good flow through itthe car runs find no check engine light is on, no water in the oil the temp gauge gets to about 3/4 of the way to the red zone and the fan still wont come on

Do you have access to a scanner that shows data? That way we could see what acual temp is, fans should come on about 223 degrees, if not would need to diagnose fan circuit between relay and pcm, have you jumped relay, does fan come on? If not check fuses.
