So there I am driving on the highway, 2am, when I see me hood start moving like it's never moved before. Of course like anyone in this situation I immediately slowed down and threw on my hazards just before my hood flew up and smacked against the windshield (Happily doing no damage). The hood latch has malfunctioned, 'No problem' I thought to myself, I'll just go ahead and wench the hood down. Sadly, though it wasn't so simple. The force of the windshield getting yanked back broke both hood hinges on the poor old Suzuki leading me to simply take the hood off and limp on home. So after doing a good bit of research I've found no replacement for the hinges within the area I reside and I am needing a fast solution. Therefore I'm here today asking if I remove the hinges and drill through the hood into the body of my vehicle (making sure not to drill into anything important!) Will that be able to hold up against highway speeds?
