noises

i have a 95 saturn sw2 it is making noise when i have it in drive or reverse and im sitting still but it stops when i start moving could a broke transmission mount cause this if not what could it started after my water pump was changed and they moved a piece of rubber off of something under the car said it didnt belong there and now it want stop making this noise

If you only hear it in gear i would say you have colasped/torn lower transmission mount located between the frame and transmission.I would also inspect the upper engine mount by the valve cover those are the two most common mounts to fail.
