95 pontiac grand prix loud knocking/ pinging. lost... help?

I have a '95 Pontiac Grand Prix V6 3100cc engine. I have a very loud knocking/ pinging noise which sounds like it coming from the intake manifold above the cylinder. I've replaced the intake mainfold, the exhaust manifold, and the engine with the same result same noise. I've also replaced the computer yet we still have the noise. Any ideas where I should look next?

Yes and the sound continues. Same sound everything.

have you tried to isolate source by using auto stethescope or tube to ear? you can get stethoscope at harbor freight for $4 last time i was there. have you had anybody listen to noise and give opinion?
