No, I'm trying to replace the belt tensioner assembly. The idler pulley is fine, and the serpentine belt is too. Do you have diagrams and instructions for this procedure or not?

Thanks

There should be a routing diagram where I said in first reply an d the reply covers on h ow to replace it. You move tensioner away from belt then move belt out of way then let tensionoff and remove bolt holding tensioner assy on. There are two different belt routings depend ing on vin num K or L you can look that up where I said in first reply

Hmac, we have our wires crossed here somehow and I apologise for my ignorance but, I see no diagrams or how to repair, in your post?

8th digit of my VIN is L. Can you please tell me how to find this diagram and how to replace it? If you posted a link in your reply, I did not get it.

See pics I really don't th ink you need to go through all of this to get a tensioner off but its' on pic. Also belt and tensioner shold be replaced at 60k because there is special tool to seeif belt is worn or not.

I don't have a super charger and I don't have an inner and outer drivebelt.

I have one serpentine belt period. Also there are no additional belts in the engine compartment. Vaccum reservoir and engine mounts? I have no idea what make of car and/or what these directions are for but, I can guarantee you that they are not for replacing the serpentine belt tensioner on a 95 buick lesabre 3800.

Does your belt tensioner assembly have a broken spring inside? Is there a reason you want to remove it? I have done plenty of work on my 1993 Lesabre.

Hi,

Replacing the belt tensioner really isn't a difficult job. I do, however, recommend getting one that has a lifetime warranty simply because they are known to fail.

To get you started, here is a video showing how to do it. The vehicle model is different, byt the procedures are basically the same. You can use it as a guide.

If you look at the pics below, they provide the directions specific to your vehicle.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
