I have a 1993 300zx that I was driving and hit a pothole that caused my entire car to die. No lights, no dash lights, no hazards and no engine. A cop offered to push me off the roadway with his cruiser and when he bumped my car everything came back on and the car started fine. As I drove it home I noticed it cutting out and coming back on as I was driving it and hitting bumps. I have checked all the battery and alt connections and they are all fine. I also checked all control modules and they're good as well. What could be causing a complete car shutdown

Follow the smaller battery positive wire to the under-hood fuse box and be sure that connection is clean and tight. That one is responsible for 99 percent of the problems. Follow the smaller negative battery wire to the body and be sure that one is tight and the area isn't rusty.
