Car (model st205) has been sitting for five years. No battery connection. Time to have it back on the road. Connected battery and switched the alarm on via the standard immobilizer key rear of the siren. Alarm sounded continually but was able to turn off and started car okay. Doors opened and locked still, but unable to have siren switched on without it going off continually. Removed siren into house to dry in case of damp. It is standard fitment Toyota 364 T. P.N.00270-01040. Is there a way to reset unit? I am led to believe this was originally manufactured by
scorpion. Many thanks, Steve.

Yes, those alarms are junk. See how they hooked it up and bypass it should take about thirty minutes to remove it.

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken

Hi Ken.
Thanks for that I expected this to be the case. I live in the UK. When you say hooked up do you mean electrically connected and if so could you give me a likely clue? My local auto electric garage tell me the alarm could be written into the ECU! Is this likely? I would be happy to remove the thing and fit an aftermarket one! Could you recommend a make and model worth buying?
Many thanks, Steve.

Unless it came from the factory I am not a fan of it, but I suggest going to Amazon and see what people are saying the reviews. Find the alarm box and pull it down you will see the wires and where they go and how they tie in just put the harness back the way it was. If you want to shoot me pick or take a quick video and upload it here in your reply I will walk you through it. Ken :)
