1994 lexus cuts off while driving, can also feel the loss of power, battery light flashes, but the battery is new. I have had a new stereo system installed. I've taken the car to two auto repair shops and they cant find any thing wrong because its not having the problem at that time. The inside lights also takes about 5 mins to come on when I first start it.
Car will eventually start at another time.

Happy to hear you understand the problem is almost impossible to find when it isn't acting up. Most people don't get that.

A simple charging problem shouldn't cause a sudden loss of power as you described or a no-start condition where it will start later. That leads me to believe you have some other electrical problem. I would start by following the smaller positive battery cable to the under-hood fuse box. Check the connection there for rust and to be sure the nut is tight. Follow the small negative battery wire to where it is bolted to the body sheet metal and be sure that connection is clean and tight.
