I have 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 4.0 Inline 6 cylinder. On cold days when I go to start it the engine will start fro a couple seconds and then dies. This cranking/dying goes on for several minutes and all of the sudden it fires up and is ready to go. Any ideas of how to fix this, other than taking it out back and shooting it, would be appreciated.

Have the temp switch checked. It tells the computer the ambient temp outside and the coolant temp. The computer then determines how rich or lean to make the fuel mixture. If too lean, it won't stay running on cold starts.
