Adding air conditioning is not practical. I've seen this attempted twice by a professional. Both systems worked when he got done but the cost was well over double what it would have been to just order the vehicle with it already installed. The results will never be as good either because there's a real lot more that goes into installing the complete system. The front springs are stronger to hold up the added weight. The radiator is bigger for the extra heat load. The generator is bigger to handle the additional electrical load. The proportioning valve in the brake system is calibrated differently because the front-to-rear weight distribution will be different.
As for cancer research, look into the Burzynski clinic in Texas. My mother wrote some articles about him a few years ago. He has been in trouble with the FDA because he has a phenomenal cure rate that bypasses the drug companies. Doctors send their own children with inoperable brain tumors and he cures them. The FDA lost its court battle against him but he is still only allowed to treat people all the other doctors have given up on, so he gets the worst of the worst, and he cures most of them. He was discussed on a national radio talk show too and they said all the same things my mother found out from her research. Too bad the FDA is looking out for the drug companies more than for the taxpayers who pay their salaries. As long as well-intentioned people keep on donating money, what incentive is there to come up with a cure unless it can be patented? The donations would stop.
