I realize that this post is over 5 yrs old now and many of us may already know, but I have been to a couple of those sites. One that comes to mind, off the top is a site called "Fixya. Com" It list several pre-asked and answered questions, so it is possible to discover the answer for free. However, if it is not found then Professional mechanics are available to answer questions usually for a fee and usually small. If I remember correctly, the last time that I visited that site the mechanic asked for only $9. Now, if the information that is given leads to a successful DIY result it is money well spent.
