I have a 1994 Chevy Astro that overheated. It still starts and runs, but it runs rough. Any ideas?

A white smoke when I first start it up. No oil in radiator, no water in oil. Smells kind of like it's running rich, I assume the heads are aluminum? It can't be that bad a job I wouldn't think?
