When cold starts and runs well under easy and hard acceleration. But after 5min warm up will stutter and I can only drive it with light foot pressure. On pedal. I can get up to hiway speed this but can not step on it or stutter. City! I had pressure. Test done on the rail. 22 psi did not change with acceleration. And they told me that I need a fuel regulator. There is no smoke from the exhaust. At any time and I can race the engine with no missing when hot or warm. How can I isolate the problem to the regulator. Fuel pump or ignition. Thanks for your help. Jack

That fuel pressure is definitely way too low. The regulator would not be my first suspicion though. While you have the gauge installed, momentarily pinch off the return line and see if the pressure spikes up. If not, it's likely a bad pump.

Thanks wrenchtech I do not have the tester done at a gagage but when I disconnect the vacume line to the regulator. The engine revs more then when I reconnect engine revs less so I think regulator is okay.I wonder if the pressure. Meter could be faulty. Thanks
