Hi,
my diesel Toyota has been vibrating a lot lately, especially when in Drive mode. When in neutral mode or park mode the vibration is back to normal. I have also noticed that the power decreased a lot and a lot of black smoke was coming out from the exhaust when the engine is in this vibrating mode. It is really annoying driving it in this state.
Yesterday I was driving this car, and suddenly the engine stopped vibrating. Immediately I have also noticed that the power came back to normal and the exhaust was not as heavy as before.
Can you please guide me what is wrong with it? My mechanic told me on my last visit, that the engine mountings need to be changed. Could this be the problem?
