1993 Oldsmobile Achieva Car overheating

I just got new intake manifold gaskets, belt tensioner, timer cast cover and water pump. On my way home from picking up my car it overheated and had to have it towed back to mechanic. He replaced the thermostat and got air out of heater hoses. Drove it home and it's still running hot. What can it be?
