Engine computer was diagnosed as bad and replaced. Car still will not start. Tried 1 new ignition coil. Not sure if 1 is bad or both. Has 2 coils. Does engine computer failure cause engine coils to go bad, and if so, can 1 be bad and 1 not, or would engine computer short out both?

Ignition coils can fail one at a time but a bad computer would not damage them unless they are sbujected to overheating due to computer failure.

Diagnostics do not confirms the computer to be faulty unless a substitute has been used to test.

What is missing now that the engine is unable to start? Ignition sparks or fuel problem?
What happened prior to this occurring?
What diagnostics had been performed so far?
