I have a 1993 Jeep Cherokee with a straight 6 cylinder, 4.0 Liter engine. I replaced the starter last summer. Everything seemed to be working fine, when 2 weeks ago the replacement starter went out. So I replaced it with another starter... That starter only lasted 5 days. What could be causing the starters to go bad so quickly?

REMOVE THE STARTER AND INSPECT THE FLYWHEEL TEETH. WHAT DO THE STARTER TEETH LOOK LIKE?

TURN THE ENGINE OVER AT THE HARMONIC BALANCER WITH A WRENCH/ SOCKET TO SEE THE REST OF THE FLYWHEEL

I'VE SEE BRAND NEW STUFF BE BAD

SORTA DESCRIBE WHAT THE STARTER'S SYMPTOMS ARE?
