Engine temp. And weird noise

Temperature is varying more than usual, gets colder with increased rpms and hotter when idling. Made a whirring sound like a belt that got louder as I drove then stopped. Once it stopped the heat wouldnt come through the vents in the cab even once the truck was warmed up.

Make sure the coolant is full and the thermostat is good. The noise you hear is most likely the fan clutch engaging when the engine gets hot. Check to make sure the fan is spinning properly (faster when hot)
