It doesn't specifically have a Crank sensor. The hall effect sensor in the distributor does the job of the crank sensor.

It IS the distributor that has to be replaced.

. Hey guys."Wrenchtech" came closest. Its called a "pickup coil" in the 3.0 V6. Yes, its a Hall effect sensor, but, misleadingly lots of people refer to it as a "Crank Position Sensor". Which is WHY I could NOT find it on any of the sites on the computer! ( Its at PARTS GEEK for $40). Thanks for all your efforts and comments. Tony in Jamaica. Tues 13 March 2012.

Manufacturers can call their parts anything they choose. In this case they call it a hall effect sensor and it does the same job as a crank sensor. I still say you really should be replacing the whole distributor rather than try to disassemble that one. It will have internal wear that could present a problem.
