93 Chevy Caprice running rough

What would cause my 1993 chevrolet caprice classic 5.0 to run rough? It started out with misfiring. It would shudder around 45mph or on an incline. Now it's just plain running rough all together. It feels like driving on a rough ride when not. It feels shaky even when idling and****** while driving. I replaced the fuel filter and it did nothing.

How long since a tune-up?

I've seen automatic trannies with OD, act-up on an incline. Downshift, see if it makes any difference? Any applicable mil codes? You can check those, yourself.
