My 92 toyota previa manual 5 sp. doesn't shift, it remains in nuetral no matter where I try to shift it. The clutch petal seems fine, and we were not having any slipping in the transmission. The problem seems to beyond the shifter or where the shifter mechanism is suppose to engage the gears.
Fluid is full.
Can a normal person fix this?

Are you sure it is not a failed clutch system? If the disc are completeely worn, vehicle would not move.

With engine off, are you able to shift into the vasious gears and hav the feeling that the gears and shift lever position is correct?
