Hi,

I have a 1992 mazda mx-3 1.6L with manual transmission. I recently changed the front axles and also flushed the transmission oil. Now I can't seem to find a place to refill the transmission oil. Can somebody please help me as to how to refill the transmission fluid on this car. Do I have to take the speedometer cable out and use that hole to refill the oil and if so how can I do that and what things I need to be careful about.

Thank you very much for your help.

Are you looking for a dip stick tube to fill from? Manual transmissions have a threaded plug on the side. One will be down low for draining, if it has one, and the fill plug will be up higher, typically about one third of the way up. You fill through that hole no higher than that hole, (when the car is sitting level). That plug usually is not as high as where the inner cv joints go in.
