Smoke coming out of the tailpipe and running rough

1992 Chevy Cavalier z 24 3.1 mpfi I am still Having a loping and stalling problem with my car Changed the fuel pressure regulator the fuel pump, filter ect. Yet it still lopes bad and stall at stops I may have found a vacuum line leak but I can not find where it goes? Lopes real bad stalls at stops, smoke coming out of tail pipe never did before the smoke is grey. The gauges when at a stop drop.I am told that on this model u cant check the timing is this also true? Could this b a compression problem?

Yes there is a vaccum leak but have no idea which hose it is or where it goes need a diagram for the vaccum lines to find out where it goes.

Heck I went to auto zone one time when engine light was on and they told me they could run a test on it cuz it was to old I have replaced plugs plug wires fuel pressure regulator fuel pump filter and strainers and the vaccum hoses drivve belt tension pulley water pump yet it still runs like shit doesnt lope any more but does still stall at stops and there is a hiss when the engine does idle it is the second vaccum hose well the one in the middle of the harness that is leaking have know idea where it goes.

It has an obd1 computer. Look under the dash and you will find a place to plug a tool in.See attached pic. You have to cross the two letters indicated, A and B and your check engine light will flash codes. Then go to http://www.extreme-check-engine-light-codes.com/GM%20OBD1%20Decoder.htm to get info for each code.

I have tried the on board diagnostics and the only code I get is 12 its not finding the problem
