if i disconnect my ac converter in my olds cutlass ciera 1991 can i stil drive it.

if i disconnect my ac converter. In my olds cutlass ciera 1991. can i stil drive the car wit it not workin? it started to smok and i have no money a friend is willing to discvonect it for me is that posible?

Are you talking about the ac compressor?If so then yes you can try to find a belt without ac for your car or remove the compressor and install a ac bypass pulley.
