I tend to think it is a vacuum issue since I have a "dead spot" at light acceleration between 1200 and 1600 rpm. I did try to engage the cruise with a very light pressure on the brake pedal and there was NO indication of engagement. If I try to engage cruise normally it engages and then with any slight elevation or declination of terrain the cruise disengages. Oh, I really appreciate your brake switch suggestion, but think I ruled it out. Please advise if I am mistaken.
