My truck runs good when first started then smokes after 5 minutes

Would you say smoke is white, gray/blue or black?

That would be oil was truck started and run periodacaly? If no then good chance valve stem oil seals dried and cracked allowing oil into cylinders. And with mileage valve guide wear and seal failure is the cause of smoke.
