Does this have a digital cluster as well, and is it working? One thing to check, that may apply, is checking fuses. Particularily check fuse #7 in the fuse block. If this fuse is open, it is possible that the A/C clutch coil is shorted, causing the excessive current to blow the fuse as the compressor is cycled. Fuse #7 also is a power supply to the BCM. In the schematic, it just shows the power input from fuse 7. It does not illustrate what that power input directly affects, but I have seen this concern in the past. One way around the problem, if it is blowing the fuse, is disconnect the clutch coil, or remove the relay. The side affect, is you won't have A/C, but you will have instruments.
