Trash in an injector can cause the pintle to stay open, thus allowing fuel to "continously" flow into the engine.
Before replacing the injector, use an ohmmeter to check its resistance. Compare the resistance to that injector to the resistance of the other injectors. They should all have about the same resistance. If it is different (more or less resistance), replace it. If there is evidence of it being contaminated with trash, replace it.
