does my alternator have an external or internal regulator

I Have 1987 Ford Econoline 350 7.5 Liter Engine I need to know If the Alternator is an External or internal Regulator, and if so where is it located? Connie

wow, this is the year they had both. if it has an external, it would be on the inner fender on the passenger side next to the starter solenoid.
