1987 Chevrolet Silverado removal of smog pump

I am trying to remove pump after I have replaced belt as it has broke off.

if you pull the pump off you need to take off the other itemsand block the holes in manifold so it doesn't leak exaust. but thi sis illegal to do on an exhaust emission vehicle.
