I have a 1983 chevy chevette with the stock l4 1.6 sohc that's never been touched I am needing the standard bore size for this engine because I'm going to rebuild the whole engine and need to know the piston size for new pistons can you tell me the size?

you need to measure the bore with a bore gauge because you probably have taper in the bore and will need it bored out by an auto engine rebuilder. he will have to do that for you. standard bore is 3.23"
