I have 1978 Chevy truck that keeps blowing a fuse goin down the road turning all my lights off. Literally 20 mins after replacing it does it again. Didn't start until after I replaced a broken taillight. It broke when we backed into a car the bumper was slightly dented but the only lights that would work were the emergency lights. Got everything fixed and working but now it's blowing a fuse every time we drive it. Any ideas

Great old truck. I restored I 6' step side. I have a great time with it. As far as the problem. If the problem started when you replaced the light assembly, there has to be a short in there. Have you checked the light sockets to make sure nothing is touching?

The odd part about this problem is that it takes 20 minutes to blow a fuse. A short should do it right away. Make sure you check the wiring behind the light assembly to see if there are any problems there. Make sure the lights have a good ground too.
