Where the start motor on my 1975 Porsche 911

That is awhile ago. However, I believe it is located above the axle joint on the right side. It is a direct drive starter and at first will look hard to get to. However, it isn't. Disconnect the neg battery terminal, the wiring to it and two bolts hold it in place.

Thanks Joe. Your advice was spot on. As it turned it out the batterry was the problem so i am back on the road.
