I am replacing the blower motor on my 72 Lincoln Mk IV and have removed the 8 screws and the vacuum assist that is attached to the blower housing for one of the vents, but can't get the housing to come apart. Am I missing something? I tried prying the housing apart, I did not see anything else to remove other than the items listed in the question. This was using an exploded view from a Lincoln manual

There is nothing blocking it. It just acts like its stuck. I thought that I would be able to pop it loose where the two screws going into the firewall were installed but couldn't get it to move. This is the original blower that has never been removed before which is why I thought that maybe some sealant was holding it in place.
