have a 72 international pickup act like the battery is
dead with any battery it in it.

try jumping it and see if it starts. or smack the starter with a hammer and if it starts it's probably the starter. Make sure to hit the starter on the body ,not the solenoid. Or take the starter off and take it to an auto parts store to have it checked.
