Just put a new battery in my bronco. Tried to start it. Turned over a couple of times then everything died. No lights or anything. Nothing happens when I turn the key. Battery is good and just changed the fuses.

IMMA JEEP KINDA GUY

MY CJs HAVE FORD STARTING AND IGNITION SYSTEMS

GO TWO POSSIBILITIES FOR YOU

1st BEING MY LINK BELOW (I CAN JUST FEEL THAT MY LINK IS THE ANSWER TO THE ISSUE) I MADE SOME PICS AT THE END. USUALLY THIS IS THE ANSWER!

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/1996-chevrolet-tahoe-wont-start-sounds-dead-battery-jumpbox-get-same-reults

2nd (NOT LIKELY, BUT POSSIBLE) FUSIBLE LINKS, KEEP IN MIND THE PIC BELOW IS OF MY '77 CJ-5 YOURS MIGHT VARY A LITTLE

"3" & "4" ARE FUSIBLE LINKS, BASICALLY, A "WIRE FUSE". THE 1st FOUR TO SIX INCHES OF WIRE (ON THEIR WAY TO THEIR DESTINATION). "3"s HEADED FOR MY ALTERNATOR, "4"s HEADED FOR MY FUSE BOX (NOTICE "3" HAS A TAG AND "4" DOES NOT)

WHEN THEY "FRY" USUALLY THE INSULATION MIGHT BUBBLE A BIT, BUT ALWAYS, IF YOU GRAB AHEAD OF ONE AND GENTLY PULL THE INSULATION WILL STRETCH OUT LIKE A RUBBER BAND (AS THE WIRE THAT "WAS" INSIDE HAS VAPORIZED) YOU CAN ALSO TEST FOR CONTINUITY ON EITHER SIDE WITH A VOLTMETER

LEMME KNOW WHAT IT WAS!
