I have a little clear filter running right before my fuel pump. What color is gas? The fuel in the little clear filter is light brown/gold. Is that the right color? What options do I have for dropping the fule tank and cleaning it out, what should I use?

The color isn't to bad, depndeing on where you are. The best way to clean a tank is to pull it out and take to a radiator shop where they boil it out. That usually takes care of anything in a tank. But, check to see how much a new one is compared to keeping yours. You could find a new one that is a little bit moreexspensive than getting it boiled out.
