1961 Ford Fairlane ignition

I think its the neutral safety switch located on the end of the gear selection shaft on this model. Its really a 59 ford farelane I found out that its only a short run on that year what wires run to it the car wont start unless you cross the relay it seems to me since there is two wire terminals on it it has to be part of the ignition please help thank you mike if you can answer this I will love to give a donation many have tried to no avail

Hey they just don't know I've been doing this for 50 yrs and now retired. It is a neutral safety switch and is connected to the starting cicuit. If car isn't in correct gear it won't let the car start. See pic. If you replace it it will start.
