I recently got a 2007 Mitsubishi raider. It has the 3.7l like the same year Dakota, club cab 4x4. I know little about it's history besides it belonged to an older guy, it's from Texas, and it didn't run. It needed an alternator, battery and fluids checked to run. First start, flashing check engine, rough idle, no alternator charge. Codes for multiple cylinder misfires on 3, 4 and 5, injector circuit open/cylinder 5, oxygen sensor bank 1 /bank 2 sensor 1 / sensor 2 voltage high. Started to delve into the problems with all new coils and plugs and injectors, another alternator, a camshaft position sensor(was told it could fix it?) Then noticed some "repaired" wiring. So I replaced with new ones: injector 5 connector, alternator connector, tb connector, coil cylinder 1 connector, new battery terminals. Plus new water pump(old one spun bearing), and power steering pump/reservoir. Now after clearing codes, I start it. Takes around 5 seconds to start starts but runs okay. Still rough but not as bad. Check codes, no more misfires, but now camshaft position sensor high voltage bank or single sensor, oxygen sensor bank codes, injector circuit open/ cylinder. 5, a manufacturer code-p0364 and duplicates of all mentioned codes. Alternator still doesn't work, replaced with another used unit, still nothing. I just need to know if some one can point me in the right direction, don't know what else to do and only electronic tools I have are an obdii code reader, and a test light. I have a daughter being born the first of November and no vehicle right now. So anything you can think of even if it's a long shot.

I just ran codes again, Here is every code in order of appearance:
P0205: Injector circuit/ Open cylinder 5
P0132: O2 sensor circuit high voltage bank 1 /sensor 1
P0152: O2 sensor circuit high voltage bank 2 / sensor 1
P0340: camshaft possition sensor A bank 1 or single sensor
P0205: " "
P0132: " "
P0152: " "
P0340: " "
(Second set all duplicates)

Hello

It sounds like you have two problems. one the engine issue and the charging system issue. we will handle the engine part on this spot you will need to start a new question of the charging problem. Let do a compression test first to see what condition the engine is in.

Here is a guide:

Please run down this guide and report back.
